Thanksgiving Traditions: New and Old

Here is a little of what I've been baking the past few days:

New: I decided to bake the bread for my stuffing this year.

Old: The very fancy title for these delicious rolls is "brown buns".  As you can see, they are brown.  If they turn out, it is some of the tastiest bread you will ever eat.  Do you want the recipe?'s a secret!  It was taught to me by my oldest daughter's grandmother.  I look forward to teaching it to my daughter.

Old and New: I made two loaves of banana bread.  The recipe was also from Sydney's grandmother.  One of the loaves was traditional.  The other had white and milk chocolate chips added to it.

New: I love Perkin's Caramel Apple Pie.  So, instead of the traditional two crust apple pie that I normally make, I found a recipe online that is supposed to be a copy of theirs.  It's smells tremendous!  Now I just have to wait for tomorrow to try it!

Old:  I've used the same pumpkin pie recipe for years.  It's a family favorite!  The only difference is that I've bought the crusts in past years.  I made them myself this year.  It's so easy!  I'm not sure why I haven't done it before.

Whatever your Thanksgiving Traditions are, I hope that you will have a blessed day with your friends and family!
